Grant is an experienced mining and manufacturing executive, leader and engineer, with more than 20 years’ experience  in gold mining, mineral sands and steel manufacturing industries. He has substantial operating and project management experience in the development of greenfield and brownfield mining operations, and more recently in business transformation strategy and leadership in manufacturing change. For almost a decade, Grant was part of the Executive Senior Leadership Team of BlueScope New Zealand Steel, leading several strategic business improvement and organisational change projects. Before New Zealand Steel, Grant was part of the Iluka Resources Leadership Team in the Murray Basin in Victoria, which oversaw the development and operations of three mineral sands sites over a 10-year period.
